A security agency earlier yesterday arrested a target killer from Satellite Town area of the provincial capital of Balochistan, Quetta.
“Acting on a tip-off, an intelligence agency raided a house in Satellite Town, Quetta and arrested a target killer of a banned organisation,” security sources said.
According to reports, the arrested target killer was involved in the targeted killings of police officers, security personnel and dozens of residents of the provincial capital.
“During interrogation, the suspect has confessed to dozens of target killings in the city in last four years, and was the mastermind of his group,” security sources said, without revealing the suspect’s identity.
Raids were being conducted in various cities to arrest the rest of the team members, added the sources.
“Initial investigation suggested he was killing people after taking dictation from foreign countries,” souces claimed. “The suspect has an international bank account and receives funds from foreign countries.”
Meanwhile two unidentified armed men opened fire at the Additional SHO Mastung Abdul Qudus Bangulzai while on way home from police station in Killi Raiki area of District Mastung on Wednesday, SHO Mastung Nazir Ahmed told the media.

Security forces and rescue workers reached the spot and the body was shifted to a nearby district run hospital for autopsy.
According to doctors at the hospital, the slain SHO received around 10 bullet wounds on his face and chest and died on the spot.
