A viral video on social media captures a gunman in a blue hoodie firing repeatedly at a black sedan with a semi-automatic rifle. The gunman shot at point-blank range as the car tried to escape, marking the incident at 4:37 a.m.
At the time of the attack, Foolio was with three others; he was the only one fatally injured. The others sustained non-life-threatening injuries, bringing a tragic close to the young rapper’s life.
This incident was not Julio Foolio‘s first encounter with violence. In October 2023, he survived an ambush in Jacksonville, where a bullet severely injured his foot.
In reaction to these threats, Foolio had filed a lawsuit claiming a UF Health nurse compromised his safety by revealing his location.
Foolio’s girlfriend, Mani, expressed her sorrow on social media, highlighting the violence that robbed her of her boyfriend. “They took my boyfriend from me. I hate them, and I won’t be the only one crying,” she stated on Twitter.
