Lahore police have successfully apprehended a notorious female robber, dubbed “Daku Rani,” and her accomplice’s husband after their involvement in over 50 criminal activities.
The couple was infamous for robbing unsuspecting victims under the guise of asking for directions. During the arrest, authorities recovered Rs. 300,000 in cash, two pistols, 12 mobile phones, and a motorcycle.
CCTV footage supported the operation by showing a woman committing armed robberies. To evade police capture, she cleverly concealed her weapon within her shawl and hid stolen items in her purse. Police have arrested the suspects, Momina and Aqeel, and launched a thorough investigation.
In a related yet bizarre twist, Lahore police intercepted a man en route to marry “Daku Rani.” Allah Ditta Zafarullah from Faisalabad fell victim to a Facebook interaction with a woman named Alia, allegedly an accomplice of the robbers, who lured him with a marriage proposal. Police stopped him at the Sindh-Punjab border, preventing a potential mishap.

Moreover, in Lahore’s Ichhra area, a Safe City officer arrested a robber during a virtual patrol. Observing suspicious activity involving two individuals on a motorcycle, the officer caught them live snatching a mobile phone from a pedestrian. The quick sharing of evidence with local police led to the swift arrest of the culprits, known for similar offences.
