A luxurious New York City townhouse has been linked to a major criminal case. Federal investigators allege the Greenwich Village property, once rented by Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott, was used for rigged, high-stakes poker games connected to organised crime.
The six-story residence at 80 Washington Place was named in a federal indictment. It identifies the townhouse as one of two Manhattan locations used for the illegal games.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office detailed an elaborate operation. The indictment alleges the games defrauded wealthy participants out of millions of dollars. Prosecutors say the group used sophisticated methods to cheat. This included electronic card shufflers and X-ray-enabled tables to see players’ cards.
To attract high-profile players, the organisers allegedly recruited former professional basketball players. This made the games seem exclusive and legitimate.

The indictment names over 30 defendants. Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are not among them, and there is no evidence suggesting they were aware of any criminal activity. The celebrity couple lived in the townhouse in 2021. They relocated to California before the alleged poker games concluded.
The property even appeared in an episode of “The Kardashians” in 2023. This was the same year the illegal games were reportedly still being held there.
The townhouse is a high-end property in a desirable neighborhood. It has changed hands multiple times and has commanded rents as high as $80,000 per month. It was sold in a foreclosure sale in 2024 for $17 million. The new owner is a shell company registered in Armenia.
The case came to light after a violent dispute between rival factions in late 2023. The incident helped authorities uncover the sophisticated criminal enterprise that operated behind a facade of luxury.
