Krystyna Pyszkova from the Czech Republic was acclaimed Miss World 2024 at the gala in Mumbai, India.
The event, originally planned for 2023 in the United Arab Emirates, found its spotlight in Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre. Pyszkova accepted the crown from Karolina Bielawska of Poland, Miss World 2021, in a ceremony that concluded Bielawska’s extended reign.
This edition witnessed Pyszkova rising above 115 competitors, securing victory ahead of Yasmina Zaytoun from Lebanon, the first runner-up. The competition’s evaluation extended beyond traditional rounds to include social work, modelling, multimedia, debate, and sports efforts.
The selection process featured continent-based groupings, with 10 candidates from each advancing to the quarter-finals. Notable early exits included Victoria Disorbo from the USA and Alejandra Díaz de León from Mexico. Continental winners leading to the final included Ache Abrahams (Americas), Lesego Chombo (Africa), Pyszkova (Europe), and Zaytoun (Asia/Oceania).
