The SNGPL had disconnected  KP govt.s  Minister of Industries Shaukat Yousafzai’s gas connection due to non-payment of bill. Yousafzai, who belongs to Imran Khan’s PTI told media that he could not manage to spare money to pay the utility bill.

He said “I was on the horns of a dilemma.  I had to choose between defaulting on the payment and having my children thrown out of the school. So I preferred to become a defaulter for sake of my children’s future”

Yousafzai, also told the media that he requested SNGPL’s billing department for easy monthly installments, but his request was turned down.

Subsequently, A social welfare organization has announced to pay the utility bill worth Rs. 29,000 of a house that belongs to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister for Industries, Shaukat Yousafzai.
