Internet slowdowns persist across Pakistan, prompting the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government to consider contacting tech magnate Elon Musk for solutions.
Shafqat Ayaz, Special Assistant to the KP Chief Minister, also disclosed plans to contact other experts, citing the significant impact sluggish internet speeds have had on the region’s IT sector.
Ayaz remarked, “There’s an ongoing internet issue in KP, yet the underlying causes remain unclear.”
Pakistan struggles with chronic internet speed problems, frequently attributing disruptions to submarine cable faults. However, reports suggest the government might be testing a new “firewall,” contributing to these issues.
