Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Kings XI Punjab by three wickets with three balls to spare at the M Chinnaswamy stadium.
Manish Pandey smashed 94 off 50 balls as Kolkata Knight Riders became the new champs and after Chennai Super Kings, the only team to win the IPL twice. Set 200 to win, KKR lost the in-form Robin Uthappa early but Pandey steered the chase with cameos from Gautam Gambhir and Yusuf Pathan. This is the ninth successive win for the Knight Riders, an IPL record.Yusuf is now the only man to have won three IPL titles.
