The A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 2 cast is expanding as production continues in Belfast, with three major new names joining the Game of Thrones prequel.
Variety reports that Lucy Boynton, Babou Ceesay, and Peter Mullan have joined the cast for Season 2, which will premiere in 2027.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 2 Cast: Who’s Joining?
Season 2 will draw its key roles from George R. R. Martin’s second Dunk and Egg novella, The Sworn Sword.
Here’s who’s been cast, and who they’ll play:
- Lucy Boynton as Lady Rohanne Webber, also known as the Red Widow, the formidable head of House Webber and Lady of Coldmoat.
- Babou Ceesay as Ser Bennis of the Brown Shield, a sworn sword pledged to another lord.
- Peter Mullan as Ser Eustace Osgrey, the ageing leader of House Osgrey.
These characters will cross paths with Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall (Peter Claffey) and his young squire Prince Aegon “Egg” Targaryen (Dexter Sol Ansell) as the pair continue their travels across Westeros.
The next season will follow Dunk and Egg after they leave the Ashford tourney, now travelling together as a hedge knight and squire. With The Sworn Sword as the basis, the story introduces new houses and a fresh local conflict that pulls the duo into higher-stakes trouble.
