Six militants were gunned down in an encounter with the security forces in Bara on Thursday morning.
Security forces, during an operation in Bara subdivision of Khyber Agency, clashed with the militants who attacked the law enforcement personnel. In a retaliation fire, six militants were killed.
The army soldiers intensified their operation in the area and raided hideout of militants.
It may be noted here that Security forces had couple of days back airdropped pamphlets in the Khyber Agency, inscribed with warning to militants to surrender their arms within three days or face stern action.
At least 50 militants had surrendered to the security forces last week in Bara amid an ongoing security operation, named Khyber-I in the area. Khyber I is part of teh broader Zerb-e-Azb military operation in North Waziristan.
