Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan confirmed Friday that his container, carrying women and children, was fired upon in broad daylight in the presence of police in Gujranwala.
Nadeem Malik, Khan said the party workers standing with Sheikh Rashid asked me to get inside the container as they suspected something bad might be going to happen.
“Rasheed himself saw people fird on the container,” the PTI chief said.
“After the firing incident, the miscreants once again attacked us and pelted the containers with stones”. He claimed.
Khan said he has asked his party workers to remain non-violent despite “the government’s shameful act to attack the peaceful march in which women and children are also participating.”
