Khalid Shamim, one the key suspects in Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Imran Farooq’s murder case was interrogated by the London Metropolitan Police (LMP) in Islamabad.
According to sources and local news channels, Shamim confessed that the murder plot was planned in London.
According to Shamim to he met the Mohsin Ali and Kashif Kamran in a hotel in Karachi. Later on, he took them to Moazzam Ali, the alleged facilitator in Farooq’s murder.

Shamim further said that Mohsin and Kashif were given a huge amount to murder Imran Farooq. Mohsin and Kashif used to send him an email on daily basis and make call twice a day. The major correspondence on email and call was on Imran Farooq’s daily routine and the progress on the plan as both the boys kept a close watch on Farooq’s movements.
Shamim, also told the investigators that after murder of Imran Farooq the plan was to murder of Mohsin and Kashif and the removal of Moazzam’s BlackBerry data.
Pakistani and British authorities are working jointly to solve the murder case.
