Apple Music and Roc Nation announced that Grammy-winning hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar will headline the 2025 Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.
The 2025 Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show will take place on February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans and broadcast on Fox.
At 37, Lamar, a prominent figure from Compton and a key player in the Los Angeles rap scene, boasts 17 Grammy awards. He previously took the Super Bowl stage in 2022 alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige.
“Rap music remains the most impactful genre to date. I’ll be there to show the world why. They got the right one,” Lamar stated in a press release.
This performance caps a significant year for Lamar, highlighted by his record-breaking song ‘Not Like Us’ and a well-publicized feud with fellow artist Drake.
Following Grammy winner Usher’s performance at last year’s show, Lamar’s upcoming appearance continues the star-studded Super Bowl entertainment tradition. In recent years, high-profile acts like Rihanna in 2023 and an all-star lineup in 2022 have graced this highly sought-after stage.
