The investigating officer (IO) informed a sessions court on Monday that a CCTV recording of the Karsaz accident has been sent to Punjab for forensic analysis.
Natasha Danish has been charged and arrested for her involvement in a fatal accident on August 19. She allegedly drove her Toyota Land Cruiser recklessly, resulting in the deaths of Imran Arif, 60, and his daughter Amna, 22, while also injuring three others.
On Monday, the IO appeared before Judicial Magistrate (East) Muhammad Raza Ansari, and the suspect, Natasha, joined the proceedings via a video link from the Central Prison for Women, Karachi.
Deputy District Prosecutor Muhammad Younus informed that the court earlier granted a defense request for Natasha’s one-day absence from court due to “security concerns. “

The IO mentioned that the UK High Commission was contacted to verify Natasha’s UK driving license.
During the session, the IO stated that an additional charge under Section 100 (driving under the influence) of the Provincial Motor Vehicles Ordinance, 1965, was added to the FIR.
A communication was also sent to the UK High Commission to authenticate Natasha’s driving license.
Further, the IO indicated that inquiries had been made to the local union council and the traffic DIG about damage to public property, with pending responses.
Regarding the injured, including Abdul Salam, the IO reported improved conditions and provided injury details.
The IO requested an extension of 14 days to submit the interim challan, citing pending responses. However, the court allowed three days and set a deadline of September 5 for the challan submission.
