Filmmaker Karan Johar recently imparted some insightful advice on social media. This Tuesday, he urged his Instagram followers to surround themselves with quality people through a story that stated, “Surround yourself with the best people you can find, but also know how to be happy alone.”
Just yesterday, Karan posted another philosophical message about engaging in difficult conversations: “The conversation you are avoiding is the one you need the most.” This reflects a shift in his online persona, as he increasingly shares cryptic, thought-provoking messages.
A few weeks earlier, Karan shared a mysterious post after the news that Adar Poonawalla acquired a 50 per cent stake in his Dharma Productions for Rs 1,000 crore. This deal included Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment under Poonawalla’s Serene Productions. Before this, he seemed to respond to Divya Khosla Kumar’s critique of Alia Bhatt with another enigmatic message following her public comments on Bhatt’s film, Jigra.
On the professional front, Karan announced his latest film, “Chand Mera Dil,” starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya Lalwani. Directed by Vivek Soni, the film is set for a 2025 release. Sharing the first poster, Karan excitedly wrote, “We have two chands ready to bring an intense & passionate love story like no other!!! Love demands a little madness… Chand Mera Dil, starring Ananya Panday & Lakshya. Directed by Vivek Soni. Coming to cinemas in 2025.” The posters feature Ananya and Lakshya, one showing them behind a blanket and another sitting together on a bed.
“Chand Mera Dil” is Dharma Productions’ fourth collaboration with Lakshya, following “Dostana 2,” “Bedhadak,” and “Kill.”
