Karan Johar, popularly known as KJo, recently captured a moment of camaraderie with his close friend Rani Mukerji, sharing a striking monochrome selfie on his Instagram stories.
The photo features the duo in a close-up, with Karan sporting a subtle smirk and Rani showcasing a gentle smile, her hair flowing freely.
Choosing to let the image speak for itself, Karan opted not to add a caption. Instead, he enhanced the post with the nostalgic tune “Koi Mil Gaya” from his 1998 blockbuster Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, a film that starred Rani alongside Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan. This film, which also features Salman Khan, Fareeda Jalal, and Sana Saeed, beautifully intertwines two love triangles set years apart, capturing the essence of youthful romance and, later, heartfelt reunions.
Beyond his cinematic achievements, Karan recently celebrated a personal milestone the eighth birthday of his twins, Roohi and Yash, on February 7. Reflecting on fatherhood, Karan shared a series of heartwarming pictures with his children on Instagram, revealing that he named them after his parents to continue the family legacy with a deep emotional connection.
In a touching tribute, he expressed, “My biggest achievement is being a father… I named them after my parents because I felt that emotion must continue beyond a lineage or a name… they are my world!!!”
Karan’s birthday message to his twins was filled with love and aspirations for their future. He emphasized his desire for them always to embody kindness.
Karan welcomed Yash and Roohi via surrogacy in February 2017, naming Yash after his late father, the renowned filmmaker Yash Johar, and Roohi, a creative rearrangement of his mother Hiroo’s name, underscoring the personal significance embedded in their names.
