The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted cold winds in Karachi and other parts of Sindh.
The PMD forecasted cold weather in Karachi and other parts of the province from January 12 to 17.
A westerly system entered into Sindh via Balochistan, causing temperatures to drop to 3°C in Shaheed Benazirabad, Noshero Feroz, Khairpur, Sukkur, Ghotki, and Sanghar will reach 3°C, and Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, and Tando Muhammad Khan could reach 5°C. Whereas Larkana, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Qambar Shahdadkot, and Tharparkar will see mercury values between 2-4°C.
PMD predicts cold, dry weather across most parts of the country and cloudy weather in the west and north.
In a statement, the PMD said that a westerly wave is expected to hit North Balochistan tonight and tomorrow.
Rain and snowfall (isolated heavy fall) are forecast in Quetta, Zhob, Barkhan, Ziarat, Nokkundi, Dalbandin, Harnai, Qilla Saifullah, Qilla Abdullah, Chaman, Muslim Bagh, and Pishin on January 10 and 11.

Light rain is possible on the 11th and 12th in Makran, DI Khan, DG Khan, Muzaffargarh, Multan, Khanewal, and Pakpattan.
PMD recommended authorities stay vigilant for any unexpected circumstance in Balochistan during the projected period.
