The Karachi Traffic Police have announced a traffic diversion plan for two chup tazia processions for Friday, directing commuters.
The procession, marking the annual observance on the 8th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, began its journey from Nishtar Park at 6:30 a.m. It aimed to conclude at Noor Bagh in the Moosa Lane area. The route included MA Jinnah Road, Capri, and Saddar Dawakhana, with an expected end time around 11 a.m.
To facilitate this event, traffic from Gurumandir Chowk has been redirected towards Bahadur Yar Jung Road in Soldier Bazaar. Additionally, routes from Nazimabad and Liaquatabad have been altered to accommodate the procession flow.
The second procession will start at 1 p.m. from Rizvia Society and plan to reach Imam Bargah Shah-E-Najaf on Martin Road by approximately 4 p.m. Road closures will affect the area between Water Pump and Karimabad Flyover until 1 p.m. and Altaf Hussain Barelvi Road from Bara Board to Gujjar Nala Crossing.
For this route, traffic adjustments include diversions from Karimabad Chowk towards Moosa Colony.
Security measures for the first procession have closed surrounding streets and roads to ensure public safety and orderly passage.
