Residents of Karachi can expect a noticeable drop in temperatures from Tuesday as weather conditions across the city continue to change, according to the Met Office.
Dense fog appeared across several parts of the city on Sunday morning due to excess moisture in the air. He explained that a recent monsoon spell left high humidity, while very low wind speeds allowed moisture to settle near the ground, forming fog.
On March 1, 2023, visibility in Karachi was reduced to zero. However, he assured residents that no fog is expected in the city over the next 10 days.

The lowest temperature recorded in Karachi on Monday was 14 degrees Celsius. From Tuesday, temperatures are expected to drop further, with temperatures ranging between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius. He said the city’s temperature is likely to remain within this range until December 31.
The chief meteorologist also ruled out any chance of rain in Karachi over the next 10 days. He said the weather will remain pleasant during the final week of December, while colder conditions are expected to set in during the first two weeks of January.
On Monday morning, many Karachi residents woke up to a refreshing change in the weather as thick fog covered parts of the city. The skyline appeared hazy, and visibility dropped sharply in several areas, including the M-9 Motorway, where it reportedly fell to zero at times.
