After the LG elections, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) released the results of all 235 union councils (UCs) in the Karachi Division.

The ECP’s latest party standings showed Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) with the most seats in Karachi Division after the LG polls with 93, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) won 86 seats, PTI 40 seats, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) 7 seats, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) 3 seats, independent candidates 3 seats, and Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) 2 seats.
The Election Commissioner (EC) Sindh Ejaz Anwar Chauhan announced the complete LG poll results in Karachi Division. Yesterday, the commission handled LG poll objections.
The EC Sindh ordered Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman to present proof after the JI Karachi chairman complained. However, the commission confirmed that he had received no complaints yet.
Chauhan explained that LG elections take longer to compile data.
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi head Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman rejected the ECP LG poll results and called a meeting to contact the EC Sindh today.
According to Form 11, JI gained the most seats, while the final results showed an eight-seat loss for the party. However, Hafiz Naeem said JI won 94 Form 11 seats.
Hafiz Naeem said JI will not talk to any political party for Karachi mayorship till its seat count is restored. He claimed that PTI accepted the JI’s mandate after losing the LG polls. Naeem said JI would meet with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
