On Monday, Karachi Kings secured a dramatic two-wicket victory over Peshawar Zalmi in a low-scoring PSL 10 clash at National Bank Stadium, Karachi, thanks to David Warner’s gritty 60 and Khushdil Shah’s unbeaten 23.
Chasing 148, Karachi Kings faced early setbacks. Opener Tim Seifert fell for a golden duck to Luke Wood’s in-swinger, followed by James Vince’s dismissal for 11. Warner steadied the innings, forging key partnerships with Saad Baig (9), Muhammad Irfan Khan (10), Mohammad Nabi (14), and Khushdil Shah. His 47-ball 60, laced with eight fours, kept Kings in the hunt until he fell in the 17th over, leaving 29 runs needed off 21 balls.

The Kings stumbled to 133/8, but Khushdil composed 23* off 17, including three boundaries, and Hasan Ali’s match-winning four off Hussain Talat in the final over sealed the chase with two balls to spare.
Zalmi’s Struggles with the Bat
Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi managed 147/8 on a challenging surface. Saim Ayub (4) fell early, and despite Babar Azam’s 41-ball 46 (seven boundaries), Zalmi faltered. Key partnerships with Tom Kohler-Cadmore (7) and Mohammad Haris (28) couldn’t sustain momentum. A late collapse saw them slip to 136/8 before a cameo from Hussain Talat (18). Khushdil Shah (3/20) and Abbas Afridi (3/30) starred for the Kings’ bowling.
