The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported that Karachi baked under a fierce heatwave on March 8, 2025, as blistering desert winds drove temperatures to 39.1°C.

With humidity at a mere 15%, the Karachi Heatwave turned the city into a furnace, amplifying the scorch after a western weather system faded. Residents faced a relentless sun and dry north-western gusts all day.

The PMD clocked Saturday’s high at 39.1°C, a 1.6°C jump from Friday, marking a sharp climb. “It’s oppressively hot despite low humidity,” officials noted, warning of a “moderate heatwave” feel.

Sunday’s forecast holds steady, with the swelter stretching to Thursday. “Take precautions,” authorities urged, as the Karachi Heatwave promises no quick relief, fueled by arid winds and clear skies. The Karachi Heatwave 39.1°C and climbing sizzles with desert fury till Thursday.
