Panic and fear gripped troubled Lyari when two rival groups exchanged fire and hand grenades in Baghdadi, Kalakot, Phool Pati Lane, Nava Lane and other areas on Friday morning.
Business activities were suspended while locals were confined to their homes.
Reportedly, a minor girl was injured in the firing incident in Kalakot area. She has been shifted to hospital for treatment.
Separately, a body was found in Korangi Bangali Para area. Police said the victim was tortured to death.
