Health experts have warned Karachi citizens to exercise caution as a temperature increase is expected starting today (Monday).
The weather forecast predicts a significant temperature surge, potentially reaching as high as 46 degrees Celsius in upper and central Sindh, including Karachi and other coastal regions. This sharp increase in mercury levels is expected to impact these areas considerably.
Temperatures in Karachi are projected to range from 36°C to 38°C, but due to high humidity, it may feel like 40°C to 44°C. Given the impending heatwave, health authorities urge residents to take several precautionary steps, such as increasing their water intake and avoiding outdoor dining.
Health experts have recommended wearing light clothing, staying hydrated, and covering heads while outside to mitigate the effects of the heat. This heatwave, which began in late April, follows a shift in wind direction and increased humidity levels.
