Kanye West recently unexpectedly visited Russia, arriving in Moscow on a private jet, which has stirred curiosity and speculation about his intentions. Dressed in a white outfit with a black patterned scarf and sunglasses, he was soon seen exiting a black vehicle with security.
Local reports suggest that West is in Russia to celebrate the birthday of designer Gosha Rubchinsky, who has been spotted at a luxury hotel near the Kremlin and even on the Moscow subway.
This visit surprises many, as most Western celebrities have avoided Moscow amid the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.
Yana Rudkovskaya, a Russian producer, confirmed his arrival. Although there was hope for a surprise concert, sources close to the Kremlin have dismissed any immediate performance plans.
“Kanye West is already in Moscow! This is super news!” Rudkovskaya exclaimed, hoping for a show at Luzhniki Stadium.
Recently, West has struggled to secure paid performances due to controversies affecting his reputation. Promoters in cities like Madrid, Berlin, Cologne, and Munich have rejected his concert proposals.
An industry insider noted that Kanye finds it difficult to book performances in Europe despite having a solid fan base. His team also faces challenges in arranging gigs across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
“His reputation and recent controversies are why almost no venue managers want him performing at their locations,” a source from The U.S. Sun explained.
