On August 29, 2025, the animated Netflix series K-Pop Demon Hunters continued its dominance of the UK Official Singles Chart Top 40. The fictional girl group HUNTR/X’s song “Golden” secured the No. 1 spot for its fourth non-consecutive week, as reported by the Official Charts Company. Other tracks from the series, alongside K-pop hits from BLACKPINK and Stray Kids, also shone, while Olivia Dean made history with three Top 10 singles. This article explores the chart achievements and their significance.

HUNTR/X’s “Golden,” performed by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, topped the UK Singles Chart, marking it as the longest-running K-pop No. 1 since PSY’s “Gangnam Style” in 2012. Additionally, the fictional demon boy band Saja Boys landed two tracks in the Top 10: “Soda Pop” at No. 4 and “Your Idol” at No. 6. These songs, part of the K-Pop Demon Hunters soundtrack, have driven the series’ global success, with the album debuting at No. 8 on the Billboard 200, per Billboard.

TWICE, BLACKPINK, and Stray Kids in the Top 40

The K-Pop Demon Hunters soundtrack also propelled TWICE’s “Takedown” to No. 27, up four spots, and “Strategy” to No. 39, showcasing the real-life K-pop group’s contribution. Beyond the series, BLACKPINK’s Diplo-produced “JUMP” held at No. 29 after their record-breaking Wembley Stadium shows. Meanwhile, Stray Kids debuted their second Top 40 hit, “CEREMONY,” at No. 37, boosted by their July 2025 Tottenham Hotspur Stadium performances, per Official Charts.

British artist Olivia Dean made history as the first female since Adele in 2021 to land three singles in the UK Top 10 simultaneously. Her track “Man I Need” reached No. 2, her highest-charting single, while “Nice To Each Other” hit No. 7, and the Sam Fender collaboration “Rein Me In” landed at No. 10. Dean’s success, fueled by her sold-out O2 Arena tour, highlights her rising star power, per the Official Charts

K-Pop Demon Hunters has become a cultural phenomenon, with its soundtrack amassing 27 million streams in a single week, surpassing Barbie The Album’s record, per Official Charts. The series’ blend of animated storytelling and chart-topping music has resonated globally, topping Netflix’s charts in 93 countries. The inclusion of real K-pop acts, such as TWICE and BLACKPINK, alongside fictional groups like HUNTR/X and Saja Boys, bridges virtual and real-world music fandoms.
