Justin Timberlake DWI arrest footage released this week shows the singer visibly stumbling during field sobriety tests and telling officers, “These are, like, hard tests,” after his failed attempt to keep the video from public view.
The 45-year-old singer had filed a lawsuit earlier this month against the Long Island town of Sag Harbour to block the footage from being released. That effort proved unsuccessful.
The video captures Timberlake being pulled over in his grey 2025 BMW before officers administered a series of sobriety tests. Throughout the encounter, he appeared confused and unsteady.
When asked to walk a straight line, he stumbled multiple times. As the situation mounted, he told officers, “My heart’s racing.”
Polite but Unsteady: What the Footage Shows
Despite his visible unsteadiness, Timberlake remained polite throughout the stop, responding with “yes, sir” to officers. However, he declined to take a breathalyser test on several occasions.
After he was handcuffed and placed in the back of a squad car, a female companion arrived at the scene and offered to drive his vehicle away.

The arrest took place in June 2024. Timberlake was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated, along with two traffic citations for failing to stop at a stop sign and failing to keep right.
Details from the Night of the Arrest
According to a source who spoke to Page Six at the time, Timberlake had been dining with friends at the historic American Hotel in Sag Harbour before being pulled over. Police were reportedly stationed outside the establishment.
Friends at the scene pleaded with officers to let him go.
One awkward detail from the night gained attention: the arresting officer reportedly did not immediately recognise the pop star. A source told Page Six that Timberlake said under his breath, “This is going to ruin the tour.” The officer replied, “What tour?” Timberlake answered, “The world tour.”

His mugshot, taken after he was brought into custody, showed visibly bloodshot eyes.
Timberlake ultimately took a plea deal, with his DWI charge reduced to a traffic violation rather than a criminal offence. The released footage has renewed public interest in the case, which had largely settled after the plea agreement.
The failed lawsuit to block the footage marks the latest development in a case that began nearly 10 months ago, offering the public the clearest look yet at the events of that June night.
