Former chief justice of Pakistan Justice (retd) Tasadduq Hussain Jilani turned down his nomination for the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) post.
His refusal comes a day after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan rejected the nomination of Jilani for the post of CEC.
“We have great respect for Tassaduq Hussain Jilani, but he is not impartial,” Khan claimed on Sunday while addressing his supporters in Rahim Yar Khan public gathering.
