Former Little Mix member Jesy Nelson is set to share her most personal story yet in a new documentary titled Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, premiering on Amazon Prime Video on February 13.
The 34-year-old singer recently released a trailer offering an emotional first look at the project. In it, Nelson reflects on what she describes as the most painful period of her life. The documentary explores her journey through motherhood, a high-risk pregnancy, and the health challenges faced by her twin daughters. It also addresses, for the first time, her departure from Little Mix.
In one of the trailer’s most striking moments, Nelson stands alone in an empty stadium and recalls the abrupt shift from success to struggle. She admits she chose to leave after the experience stopped feeling magical.
The film revisits archival footage from her time with Little Mix, revealing moments of emotional strain behind the scenes. Nelson says she carried these experiences privately for years and now feels ready to share her perspective.

A major focus of the documentary is her transition into motherhood. Cameras follow her through a complicated pregnancy marked by Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome, a rare condition that affects identical twins. The film documents the birth of her daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, and their later diagnosis with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1, a serious neuromuscular disorder.
The release comes during a period of personal change for Nelson. Reports earlier this year confirmed that she and her fiancé, rapper Zion Foster, have ended their relationship. The couple, who became engaged in September 2025 after three years together, are said to remain committed to co-parenting their children.
Nelson first rose to fame in 2011 after winning The X Factor as part of Little Mix, alongside Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, and Perrie Edwards. The group went on to become one of the most successful girl bands in global pop music. Her decision to leave the group in December 2020 shocked fans and sparked widespread speculation.
Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix positions itself as an unfiltered account of survival and self-definition. The documentary follows a woman as she navigates profound personal and professional change while reclaiming her voice beyond fame.
