Private text messages sent by Jenny Slate about her experience working with Justin Baldoni have surfaced. These messages offer new insight into alleged behind-the-scenes tensions on the set of It Ends With Us.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Slate described the production as “disturbing” and accused Baldoni of projecting a misleading public image. Baldoni starred in and directed the film.
In messages dated 2023, Slate told a Sony production executive that she and co-star Blake Lively had both raised concerns about Baldoni’s conduct during filming.
“This has really been a disturbing shoot, and I’m one of many who feel this way,” Slate wrote, according to the filing. She also said Baldoni presented himself as a “male feminist” while behaving differently behind the scenes.
Jenny Slate slams Justin Baldoni as the “most intense narcissist” in unsealed court documents.

In other messages cited in the documents, Slate described Baldoni as “a fraud” and said she had never encountered anyone like him before. She used strong language to express her frustration and discomfort. The identity of the text message recipient has not been made public.

Court records also reference earlier texts Slate sent to her then-agent. In those messages, she said Baldoni and his business partner, Jamey Heath, made her uncomfortable. She accused them of telling “weird lies” and described their behaviour as unprofessional. While she said she did not feel afraid, she described feeling repulsed and deeply irritated.
Justin Baldoni you misogynistic piece of shit. I hope all you know for the rest of your existence is restless nights.

Slate added that Lively was dealing with the situation on a more serious level. She also recalled an incident in which Baldoni allegedly made inappropriate remarks toward her. Baldoni reportedly justified these remarks by saying his wife was present.
Lively’s attorney, Sigrid McCawley, said the newly released material includes sworn testimony and real-time messages from multiple women. She argued that concerns were raised as early as spring 2023 but were ignored.
Baldoni’s legal team has denied all allegations and called them false. A court hearing scheduled for January 22 will decide whether some or all of Lively’s remaining claims move forward to trial.
