The Jemima Khan, ex-wife of Imran Khan, speeding fine case has concluded with her being fined £1,000 by a UK court.
Jemima, 52, failed to respond to police correspondence after a Mini Clubman registered in her name was caught speeding in north London. The vehicle was recorded travelling at 46mph in a 40mph zone on the A1 in Hampstead.
AlthoughJemima later identified the driver, her response came after the police deadline had passed. As a result, she was prosecuted for failing to provide driver information when required.
In a note to Westminster Magistrates’ Court, she attributed the delay to major renovation works at her £10 million Kensington home. She stated that construction activity made access difficult and that the original letter had been mislaid by the builders.
She also cited personal circumstances, including the death of her mother and the absence of her personal assistant, who usually handles the post.
Magistrate Gladys Famoriyo convicted Jemima Khan of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver. The court imposed a £1,000 fine, six penalty points on her driving licence, £130 in costs and a £400 victim surcharge.

The case was handled under the Single Justice Procedure, a fast-track system that allows magistrates to decide certain cases without a full court hearing.
