Javeria Mirza emerged victorious at the 1st Eid Milan Scrabble Tournament contested in Karachi at a local hotel.
Seventeen year old Javeria, who was a runner-up at last year’s World Youth Scrabble Championship, won her first 8 matches in a row to take the title with an 8-1 record and a spread of 785.
It was a bad day for the national champion Waseem Khatri who finished at 10th, his lowest finish of the year.
A total of 35 players took part in the tournament.
