Javed Afridi’s tweet went viral, drawing hundred s of retweets and likes from cricket fans.
Within one hour Javed Afridi posted a second Tweet, clarifying his message was meant for another Shahid. But Javed Afridi did not explain who the other Shahid was.
The post of Sindh governor fell vacant after the demise of Justice (retd.) Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui on Wednesday, only two months after taking charge.
Senator Mushahidullah, Senator Nehal Hashmi and Muhammad Zubair are being considered as strong contenders for the post.
