Pakistan cricket team’s head coach, Jason Gillespie, has expressed his intentions regarding his coaching career, stating he is not interested in a permanent white-ball coaching role.
In a conversation with Australian media, Gillespie noted that he agreed to the interim white-ball coaching responsibilities for the current Australia tour but does not intend to pursue a full-time role in this format.
Originally appointed as the red-ball coach for Pakistan Cricket, Gillespie cited his commitment to family time as the reason for his decision. “I love coaching, but being away from home for 11 months is too much,” he confessed. This statement came after he stepped into the white-ball coaching position following Gary Kirsten’s sudden resignation just before the team’s departure to Australia.

Gillespie remains dedicated to red-ball cricket, emphasizing his personal well-being and family commitments over expanding his coaching duties to include white-ball cricket.
