A tragic road accident in Jamshoro, Sindh, has claimed 16 lives after three additional injured victims succumbed to their injuries in a hospital in Hyderabad.
According to the initial reports, the incident occurred near the Bola Khan police station and involved a bus carrying Bheel community workers returning from wheat harvesting in Balochistan. This report was issued on April 21, 2025.
Deputy Commissioner Ghazanfar Qadri confirmed that the bus was transporting workers when a truck with brake failure plunged into a ravine. Dr. Faizan Memon, the Resident Medical Officer, reported 28 injuries, with three individuals in critical condition. Rescue officials are currently providing support to the victims.

The Jamshoro accident follows a similar tragedy in Kasur, where eight family members died in a van crash on Raiwind Road because of a drowsy driver. Such incidents highlight the challenges of road safety in Pakistan.
