DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif accused India of sponsoring the Jaffer Express attack in Balochistan. Speaking at a joint press conference with Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti, he detailed the March 11 assault by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and praised the rescue operation.
The BLA targeted the Quetta-to-Peshawar train in Bolan Pass, holding over 400 passengers hostage after an IED blast at 1 PM. Militants killed three Frontier Corps soldiers at a checkpost beforehand. “They split hostages, using women and children as shields,” Sharif said. Security forces neutralized all attackers by March 12, freeing all hostages unharmed.

India’s Role in Jaffer Express Attack
Sharif labeled India the “main sponsor” of the Jaffer Express attack, citing its “terrorist mentality.” He accused Indian media of glorifying the assault with AI-generated videos and misinformation. “They supported the BLA instantly,” he claimed, referencing spy Kulbhushan Jadhav’s capture as evidence of India’s destabilizing efforts.

The DG hailed the mission as a global benchmark. “Despite suicide bombers and tough terrain, no hostages died,” he noted. Some hostages escaped during a firefight, with others released earlier based on ethnicity. Sharif also tied the attack to Afghan-trained militants using leftover foreign gear.

CM Bugti thanked global allies for condemning the Jaffer Express attack. “The BLA isn’t Baloch—it’s terrorism backed by India’s RAW,” he said, rejecting their liberal claims. Both leaders vowed to decisively counter such threats and misinformation.
