The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has declared a load-shedding schedule for Wednesday, January 17, 2024. This is to allow for repairs and routine development works across various sectors.

Areas Affected and Timings

The power cuts are planned from 9 am to 2 pm. This will impact Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum regions. ISCO’s announcement on Tuesday advises residents and businesses to prepare for the temporary inconvenience.

In Islamabad Circle, areas like Banigala, Shakrallah, and Khanna Dak will face power outages. Rawalpindi City Circle will see interruptions in Ghousia Colony and other locations. Attock Circle’s affected areas include Jalala and Nawababad. Chakwal Circle will experience power cuts in places like Baharpur and Ara Bazar. Lastly, localities such as F-7 Kachhari and Shukrila in Jhelum Circle will be affected.

Residents are requested to support ISCO during this maintenance period. This work is crucial for enhancing the reliability and efficiency of the region’s electricity supply infrastructure. ISCO ensures these disruptions are part of a broader effort to improve the power distribution system.
