Iranian President Hassan Rouhani arrived in the Omani capital Muscat on Wednesday in his first visit to an Arab country as the Iranian president.
Rouhani is expected to sign major joint-project deals in Oman. At the airport, he was greeted by Seyyed Fahad Bin Mahmoud Al Said, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, and Yousuf Bin Alawi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. The Iranian delegation also included Mohammad Jawad Zarif, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, Minister of Oil as well as other other senior government officials.
