Apple and Samsung are actively preparing to launch their slimmest flagship smartphones to date. The upcoming iPhone 17 Air and Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim create significant excitement with their promise of sleeker designs and advanced technology.
Scheduled for a September release, Apple plans to unveil the iPhone 17 Air as part of its broader iPhone 17 series launch. According to a report by Sisajournal, this model aims to retain the previous iPhone 16 Plus price range.
The iPhone 17 Air, reportedly 6.25mm thick and 1.65mm thinner than the iPhone 16, embodies an advanced design that streamlines its profile while enhancing functionality. It will be available for $1,299 to $1,500.
The iPhone 17 Air will feature Apple’s latest A18 or A19 chip, supported by 8GB of RAM and Apple’s inaugural 5G and Wi-Fi chips, marking a significant advancement over its predecessors.
Samsung plans to introduce a Galaxy S25 Slim in response to Apple’s innovations. Unlike the standard models, which are slated for a January 22 unveiling, the Galaxy S25 Slim might debut later in the year, potentially in the second or third quarter.

While specific pricing details for the Galaxy S25 Slim remain undisclosed, it will likely be less expensive than the premium Galaxy S25 Ultra.
