Indus Motor Company Limited, the assembler of Toyota vehicles in Pakistan, has announced a temporary pause in production until October 9. This decision was shared in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), pointing to current vehicle inventory levels as the primary reason.
Notably, this isn’t the company’s first such move. Earlier stoppages occurred from August 25 to September 6 due to decreased demand and inventory challenges and from July 21 to August 3, stemming from import and supply chain disruptions. For similar reasons, another brief halt took place between June 26 and June 27.
