New Delhi : India’s Home Affairs Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday issued provoking statement against Pakistan, saying the Indian Army would give a ‘befitting reply’ to Pakistan if that country violates ceasefire in the divided state.
Talking with reporters, he called the Jammu Kashmir an ‘integral part’ of India despite Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi’s meeting in Russia to cool down tension between the two neighbours.
Commenting on the meeting between the two prime ministers, Rajnath said that Prime Minister Modi did not plead but had only tried to foster friendly relations between the two countries. On ‘Vyapam’ scam in Madhya Pradesh, he said that the opposition parties were maligning their image. “Madhya government is transparent,” he said.
Rajnath attended flag-hoisting ceremony that marked the beginning of the ‘Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2015’ in Trimbakeshwar near Nashik on Tuesday morning. On Kumbh Mela, he said, “I am happy and prayed to Almighty to make India a prosperous nation.”
