Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif strongly condemned Indian blatant ceasefire violation along the Working Boundary and Line of Control (LoC).
COAS visited Rangers Headquarters, where he was briefed about the latest situation at LoC. COAS appreciated the high morale of deployed troops & civilians.
COAS statement came shortly after eight civilians, including a woman and child, were killed and 47 others wounded at the working boundary due to unprovoked Indian shelling on Thursday morning.

“India has crossed all limits to terrorize Pakistani civilian population disregarding international conventions and norms,” General Sharif said.
“We can sense a definite linkage between terrorism being sponsored by India in various parts of Pakistan and belligerence along the LoC and working boundary,” he said.
He added that Indian firing and violations targeting civilians were a highly unprofessional, unethical, irresponsible and cowardly act. The army chief visited Rangers Headquarters, where he briefed about the unprovoked Indian shelling.
