Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has been tasked with averting the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly by Imran Khan’s PTI.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari visited Shujaat Hussain on Sunday.
In the meeting, it was decided that PM Shehbaz and Asif Zardari won’t contact Parvez Elahi till Shujaat Hussain gives the go-ahead.
Zardari had also phoned Shujaat Hussain to discuss countering the PTI’s agenda.
Attaullah Tarar said the prime minister and PPP co-chairman discussed Punjab’s predicament.
All constitutional possibilities, including confidence vote, were examined, he said. The PML-N leader stated that his party’s gathering would make a final decision tomorrow.
