Daniel Bastard from Reporters Without Borders claimed that he received information from confidential diplomatic sources that Imran Riaz Khan was subjected to violence and may have died in custody. He requested that Imran Riaz Khan be produced in court and released.

Senior journalist Munizay Jahangir tweeted that Daniel Bastard from Reporters Without Borders had informed her that Imran Riaz Khan was subjected to violence and should be released.

Senior journalist Moeed Pirzada expressed concern about Munizay Jahangir’s tweet regarding violence against Imran Riaz Khan, hoping the news isn’t true. However, he anticipates Imran Riaz Khan’s immediate release, praising his bravery for standing up for the truth.

The Lahore High Court issued a written order to recover anchorperson Imran Riaz, directing all agencies to recover and present him in court by May 30.

Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Mohammad Amir Bhatti, instructed all agencies to cooperate to recover Imran Riaz and present him in court by May 30.

A written report from the Ministry of Interior was submitted in court, according to which Imran Riaz is not under the custody of any agency under the Ministry of Interior.

The court said no one had appeared on behalf of the Ministry of Defense, and no report had been submitted, while the police requested an additional 3 to 4 days to recover the missing person. The court directed all agencies to take measures to recover the missing person and present him in court by the next hearing on May 30.

On May 19, the Lahore High Court instructed the police to present progress by May 20 regarding the case of anchorperson Imran Riaz’s recovery. Since his arrest on May 11, there has been no information about Imran Riaz Khan. He was arrested during protests and tensions following the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan. Several other journalists were also arrested.
