Islamabad police have surrounded Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence seeking arrest of workers released by PTI chief from a police van late Sunday night.
Approximately 1500 policemen surrounding PTI chief’s residence who stopped a police van late night and released some of his arrested party workers.
According to sources, Imran Khan in his land-cruiser blocked the passage of a police prisoner van outside at Lake View Park, after which he along with his supporters persuade the cops to free at least 15 PTI workers. Khan then took his workers to his Bani Gala residence.
The police surrounded the PTI chief’s residence ordering him to return the arrested workers otherwise they will force themselves inside the house.
PTI workers were alerted by the party as soon as the news of the raid arrived.
Khan has been charged with the obstruction of legal process. F.I.R under article 144 is already registered against Imran Khan.
