Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced that Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, wishes to engage in dialogue with the true power holders in Pakistan.
PTI has commenced a nationwide movement aimed at restoring democracy and securing Khan’s freedom. Gandapur made these remarks at a news conference in Lahore, attended by senior PTI leaders.
Gandapur emphasised that Imran Khan will only engage in negotiations with individuals who hold significant decision-making authority. He stated, “Imran Khan has made it clear that dialogue takes place with those who have the mandate.” He also mentioned that it is irrelevant if the establishment invites the creators of the Form 47 government to participate in discussions.
PTI has remained active for two years and is now launching a structured 90-day campaign. This campaign will culminate in a significant event on August 5. Gandapur stated, “This effort is aimed at protecting the constitutional rights of the people.” By August 5, the movement is expected to reach its peak, after which PTI will determine its future political strategy based on the current regulations.
Gandapur attacked JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman. He accused him of gaining from Form 47. Gandapur challenged Rehman to a by-election in Dera Ismail Khan against his brother Faisal Amin Gandapur. 0 6
If his brother loses, Gandapur vows to quit politics forever. He also claimed that Rehman allies secretly with the establishment. Rehman admitted acting against the PTI government on former army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s orders. Gandapur condemned the fascist crackdown on PTI. He said workers faced torture after May 9 events. The state blocks PTI’s right to protest.

Authorities have denied rally permits in Lahore and have imprisoned leaders without justification. Gandapur stated that there is no legal basis for the cases against Imran Khan and that courts are delaying proceedings due to a lack of evidence. He also mentioned that the government’s actions have increased public awareness, as demonstrated on February 8.
Gandapur criticised security agencies. They ignore borders and terrorism. Instead, they target PTI. He called institutions Pakistan’s biggest political players. Gandapur dismissed division rumours. Decision-makers spread them to weaken PTI. The party unites for Khan’s release and Pakistan’s fix.
PTI General Secretary Salman Akram Raja expressed his agreement. The unity in Lahore demonstrates strong support for Khan, and the demand for his release is echoed throughout the nation. The events of February 8 are still fresh in everyone’s mind. Gandapur has resumed discussions with those he refers to as “system hijackers” and cautioned that a refusal to engage in good faith will have consequences for all parties involved.
