Last night, agents from the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime unit arrived at Adiala Jail to investigate a tweet from PTI’s founder’s social media account; however, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan declined to meet with the FIA team.
Inside sources revealed that the FIA Cyber Crime Cell had secured authorization from a Judicial Magistrate in Islamabad to interrogate Imran Khan at the facility.
The magistrate’s document granted permission for this questioning and was signed accordingly. However, a note written by Imran Khan himself indicated his refusal to meet the investigators and his rejection of the allegations against him.
Imran Khan has communicated that he will only engage with the investigation if his lawyer is present, labelling the allegations “complete nonsense.” This stance was confirmed through a handwritten note by Khan, which he intends to address further through his legal representatives.
