Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insfa (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan announced that he is open to negotiating with the military and has urged the army to designate a representative for discussions.
During the information discussion with the journalist in court, Imran Khan shows his willingness to negotiate with the Pakistan Army establishment and asked to nominate a representative.
Imran Khan expressed his desire for dialogue and emphasized that he had not accused the military but instead engaged in constructive criticism. “I never made accusations against the military; this is my army,” he remarked, underscoring his approach of offering constructive feedback to the establishment.
Imran Khan also highlighted that reminding him that the military can make mistakes is unnecessary, asserting his stance against unproductive criticism. He explicitly stated his refusal to talk with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, criticizing Naqvi’s treatment of PTI workers during his tenure as the interim CM of Punjab.
Furthermore, Imran Khan acknowledged that any PTI worker involved in the disturbances on May 9 should be held accountable. He also accused the Shehbaz Sharif-led coalition of attempting to create a rift between the army and PTI, intensifying the political tensions.
