Imran Khan Affirms “La ilaha illallah” in Resolute Message from Adiala Jail

Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), conveyed a steadfast message from Adiala Jail, affirming his faith and determination in the face of ongoing political trials.

Khan expressed his belief in “La ilaha illallah,” stating that Allah decrees honour and disgrace, which instils him and his followers with the courage to persist in their quest for true freedom. “Neither I am afraid, nor should my nation be,” Khan declared, underscoring his resolve to continue the struggle despite the challenges.

Speaking to journalists, Khan discussed several political issues, including allegations against other political figures and internal party dynamics. He vehemently denied any negotiations with the government regarding political compromises and criticized manoeuvres within the judiciary to influence judicial appointments. He highlighted the potential repercussions of such actions, including widespread protests.

Khan also addressed the cancellation of a recent rally in Islamabad, citing potential conflicts with religious groups as a reason for the postponement. He emphasized the need to avoid clashes that could lead to further political instability, reminiscent of past incidents. Despite the disappointment this decision caused among party workers, Khan stressed the importance of maintaining peace.

Imran Khan’s Vision and the Path Forward

Reiterating his commitment to constitutional struggle, Khan reflected on his journey of building PTI from the ground up over the past 28 years. He shared his gratitude for public support that has bolstered his political endeavours, particularly highlighting his party’s success in recent elections. Khan dismissed the need for external support, affirming his independence and leadership.

Addressing Faiz Hameed’s ongoing trial, Khan called for transparency, advocating for a public trial if it involved allegations related to public political events. He argued that openness in such proceedings is essential to upholding justice and public trust.

Khan Calls for Future Mobilization

Looking ahead, Khan announced plans for nationwide rallies on September 8, signalling a continuation of his party’s active engagement in political advocacy. He called upon his supporters to prepare for this significant mobilization, aiming to demonstrate the resilience and unity of his movement.

Throughout his message, Imran Khan emphasized his unwavering faith and the philosophical underpinnings that guide his political actions. He views his challenges as tests of faith and dedication.
