Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday challenged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former President Asif Ali Zardari to declare their real assets.
Addressing his supporters at D-Chowk, Khan called for the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to upload the details of assets on website.
Khan said that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had admitted in an affidavit about money laundering of Nawaz Sharif.
“Either Dar is telling a lie or Nawaz Sharif has illegally transferred his wealth abroad. Whoever is dishonest, stands disqualified for holding a public office?”
He said that Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari should declare their real assets. “Nawaz Sharif pays Rs200 billion in UK in the form of taxes whereas in Pakistan, he is paying merely few lacs.”
